NarratiaBuilding the future of cultural heritage experiences
Narratia is a Horizon Europe innovation action that started in September 2026. The vision: transform cultural heritage sites into living, AI-generated story worlds where visitors become protagonists in personalised narratives powered by generative AI and mixed reality.
Narratia is built together by 13 partners across Spain, Italy, Greece, Czech Republic, Portugal, Poland, and Finland, coordinated by Universidad Politécnica de Madrid: universities, research centres, companies and the heritage sites themselves.
TAIO leads the interface and mixed reality work package, where the partners’ work comes together in an app for visitors and a tool for curators. TAIO will also lead the Tampere pilot, one of six sites across Europe.
We don’t yet know exactly what product will emerge from this new technology. But we know it will bring people closer to our shared history in ways that haven’t been possible before. That’s worth building toward.
